Born and raised in Puerto Rico, Alex Sierra discovered his passion for barbering as a kid. After moving to Youngstown over a decade ago, he built one of the most recognized names in the local barbering scene from the ground up – and never stopped competing, learning, and growing.
Now, with over 10 years of professional experience behind him, Alex is channeling everything he knows into building the barbers this industry actually needs. His goal isn’t just to teach technique – it’s to change the culture of how barbers are trained in Ohio.

The Master Barber Program
1,800 clock hours. State licensed through the Ohio State Cosmetology and Barber Board. Designed to prepare you for your Ohio Master Barber License – and everything that comes after it.

You will master the full range of barbering techniques – fades, tapers, bald cuts, scissor cuts, beard design, straight razor shaving, hot towel shaves, hair color, chemical services, and more. Every skill is taught hands-on, on real clients, under direct licensed supervision.
🤝 Client Experience
Real barbering is about more than a good cut. You will learn how to consult with clients, build trust, handle difficult situations, communicate professionally, and create the kind of experience that turns a first-time client into a loyal regular.
🧼 Sanitation & Safety
Ohio law requires strict sanitation and infection control standards. You will learn proper disinfection procedures, bloodborne pathogen protocols, and how to maintain a clean and safe environment – because a professional barber never cuts corners on safety.

Morning – Theory & Fundamentals
Your day starts with theory – the science of hair, skin, and scalp, Ohio laws and regulations, sanitation protocols, and business education. Understanding the why behind every technique makes you a better barber.
Afternoon – Clinic Floor
You move to the clinic floor and work on real clients under Alex’s direct supervision. Every cut, every shave, every service is a learning opportunity. You get real feedback in real time from someone who has been doing this at the highest level for over a decade.
Every Day – Building Your Foundation
Consistency is everything in this industry. Every day you show up you are building your hands, your eye, your speed, and your confidence. By the time you graduate you will have hundreds of real client interactions behind you.
